If you’re passionate about sterile processing, efficiency, and doing things the right way, this is your opportunity to step into a clinical-facing role where your SPD knowledge directly improves patient care, OR flow, and hospital outcomes.

We’re seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to partner closely with Sterile Processing Departments and Operating Rooms, helping hospitals maximize the performance of an innovative surgical system. This role is ideal for someone who understands tray flow, sterilization challenges, and real-world OR demands - and is ready to make a bigger impact.

  • Collaborate daily with SPD leaders, techs, and OR staff to troubleshoot challenges and offer solutions

  • Transport, stage, and support system use in the OR

  • Conduct in-services and hands-on education for SPD and OR teams

  • Identify opportunities to increase system utilization and efficiency

  • Assist with tray management optimization and vendor tray redesign

  • Track key metrics including setup times, processing efficiency, and utilization

  • Support quality assurance initiatives and customer satisfaction efforts

  • Participate in onboarding, training, and continuous improvement programs

Why SPD Professionals Thrive in This Role

  • Your sterile processing experience is essential - not a stepping stone

  • You’ll influence hospital-wide efficiency, not just one department

  • You’ll work side-by-side with clinical teams, not behind the scenes

  • This role offers career growth beyond the department while staying in healthcare

  • Background in Sterile Processing (SPD/Central Services), Surgical Services, or the OR

  • Strong understanding of process-driven workflows

  • Comfort with hands-on equipment and basic mechanical troubleshooting

  • Willingness to travel locally and work flexible schedules as needed

  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer-facing skills

  • Self-motivated, reliable, adaptable, and customer service–oriented

Preferred:

  • CRCST certification (Certified Registered Central Service Technician

  • Experience with Quality Management Systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work across hospital environments including SPD, ORs, and clinical spaces

  • Requires standing, walking, lifting trays, and prolonged movement

  • Flexible scheduling may be needed to support clinical cases

Why Join Us?

You’ll be part of a team that values SPD expertise, respects certification and process excellence, and is committed to making healthcare safer and more efficient - one tray, one case, and one team at a time.

👉 If you’re CRCST-certified (or pursuing certification) and ready to expand your impact beyond the department, we’d love to connect. Apply today.
