Sterile Processing Manager - 61
Sterile Processing Manager
(Medical Device Industry | Remote-Based | 90% Travel)
Built for SPD Educators & Managers Ready to Expand Their Impact
You’ve trained teams. You’ve fixed broken workflows. You’ve led departments through audits, turnover, and change. Now imagine using that same expertise to help hospitals across the country elevate their Sterile Processing operations.
This role is specifically designed for experienced SPD Managers, Educators, and departmental leaders who want to transition into the medical device industry while staying deeply connected to clinical practice. You will lead customer trials and implementations nationwide, stepping into hospitals as the on-site expert who guides teams through adoption, education, and workflow transformation.
You won’t be turning wrenches. You’ll be doing what you already do best - teaching, coaching, optimizing workflows, and building confident, compliant teams.
Your Impact
Lead on-site trials and implementations within Sterile Processing Departments and Operating Rooms across the U.S.
Spend 2–4 weeks at a time embedded with hospital teams to ensure real adoption - not surface-level training.
Partner directly with SPD managers, educators, supervisors, and OR leadership to evaluate current processes and design improved workflows.
Deliver hands-on education and structured training that empowers technicians, educators, and leaders.
Serve as a trusted peer and advisor to departments navigating change.
Act as the voice of the customer, sharing field insights that influence internal teams and future deployments.
Build long-term partnerships that drive confidence, engagement, and sustained success.
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for someone who:
Has 7+ years in Sterile Processing or OR environments, with leadership or education responsibilities.
Has worked as an SPD Manager, Assistant Manager, Educator, Supervisor, or Lead Tech with department-wide influence.
Is known for being approachable, credible, and effective in training and change management.
Enjoys walking into new departments, quickly earning trust, and bringing structure to complex environments.
Wants to step beyond a single facility and make a national-level impact.
Is excited about  extensive nationwide travel (up to 90%) and living near a major airport.
Qualifications
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
CRCST (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in staff education, workflow redesign, quality initiatives, accreditation readiness, or department leadership.
Strong communication and presentation skills - comfortable training small teams or full departments.
Healthcare implementation, consulting, or medical device experience is a plus, not a requirement.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation package
Fully reimbursed national travel
Remote-based position with high autonomy
A visible, respected role within a mission-driven medical device organization
Clear opportunity to build a long-term career path beyond the hospital setting
Remote-based role with extensive nationwide travel (approximately 90%). Open to candidates anywhere in the U.S. who live near a major airport.
