Position Summary
The Account Executive role acts as the key interface between our company and its customers in the assigned territory.  Successful individuals in this role will represent our company and its products to the customer while consulting to provide total solutions to the customer’s needs. 

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and our internal team within the assigned territory.  
  • Develop relationships at existing and prospective customer sites with the expectation of increasing market share and providing a superior customer experience.
  • Understand and provide solutions to meet customer needs in a consultative manner.  
  • Responsible for territory analysis and planning in order to identify opportunities, negotiate solutions, and close deals.
  • Work with the Regional Vice President to develop and present an overall quarterly territory sales plan and strategies for customers within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with all key stakeholders.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and our current portfolio through product training, sales meetings, etc.
  • Willing to cover accounts in assigned territory in a minimally structured environment.
  • Diligent with administrative tasks, including accurate sales forecasting, expense records, etc.
  • Required to adhere to hospital credentialing requirements.
  • Required to remain drug free and abide by the Drug Free Workplace policy.
  • Required to maintain a Department of Motor Vehicle record in accordance with the company driver policy.
Education & Experience
  • BS/BA in Business or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Two years of outside sales experience, medical industry strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Attributes
  • Excellent communication skills.  Demonstrated success in listening and communicating with a variety of individuals.
  • Strong executive level selling, negotiating, and presentation skills.
  • Financial analysis skills for communicating ROI, NPV, ROA, etc.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to coordinate complex cross-functional, cross-business deals.
  • Ethical with unwavering commitment to integrity.
  • Resourceful and flexible with the ability to creatively think outside the box.
  • Possess drive and persistence to overcome obstacles, with an openness for coaching and mentoring.

  • Travel requirements for this position is 60-75% - position does include daily and / or overnight travel.

Reports to and receives general direction from the Regional Vice President of Sales.
